Nordic Literature Week is hold every year in the Baltic region. The aim of the project is to spread the love of reading and literature in general, as well as the love to the Scandinavian tradition of storytelling. This time, the Week is going to be on November 11-17, 2019, and Belarus is also taking part in that!
The idea of the Nordic Literature Week is to read aloud three books choosed for three age groups: children, youth and young adults. The theme of this year is Nordic Celebration and it's for good reason. As the Nordic Association in Denmark, Norway and Sweden celebrate their 100th anniversary this year, the Nordic Literature Week wants to highlight the celebration in different Nordic countries.
In Belarus the project has being proceeded since 2015. During this period, scores of Belarussian organisations were taking part in that, such as libraries, schools, univercities and study centres. In Lithuania more than 600 organisations participated in the Week last year. So the popularity of the project in Eastern Europe grows up every year.
PARTICIPATION IS FREE, BUT REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! To help you make your event more attractive and interesting the Center of Swedish Studies will provide you posters of the project as well as paper small flags of all Nordic countries and certificate of your participation (in hard and/or soft copy).
