Centre for Swedish Studies continues to carry our events dedicated to Strindberg’s year and invites everyone to attend a lecture-workshop of the outstanding Belarusian poet and bard Andrei Khadanovich.
The title of the on-going project at the Centre is "Strindberg in Minsk: Poetry and Music. We can already boast a number of translations of Strindberg’spoetry, skillfullymadebythe project participants. Now it’s time for themusic! AndrejKhadanovich is going to talk about his work in this area - the creation of the Belarusian "covers" of a Canadian poet and singer Leonard Cohen as well as aPolish singer Jacek Kaczmarski. The audiencewill also hear the Belarusian version of the famous German song by Lili Marleen. AndrejKhadanovich will not only perform musical pieces, but also share his thoughts and experiencesof this kind of creativity in orderto inspire youfor yourown experiments!
