It has become a good tradition to gather people, interested in Sweden, its social and cultural life, under the roof of the CSS to discuss different topics concerning Sweden. This year, it is the fifth time, the Centre for Swedish Studies hold the conference "Modern Sweden".
On the 25th of April 2008, the conference gathered over thirty young people, who came to the Swedish Centre to present their reports and/or to listen and discuss the presented material.
Among the topics discussed at the conference were Life of people with limitted possibilitis, Swedish mass media, Swedish design, Gender politics, Internet courses of Swedish and many others.
Besides, the Centre for Swedish Studies had the honour to have Johan Tell, a prominent Swedish writer and journalist, as guest lecturer at the conference.
